What We Do

Our Work

Since our founding in 2005 and more recently as an affiliate of B’nai B’rith International, AJIRI has worked with allies and like-minded individuals and organizations in the United States and abroad — including U.S. elected officials, faith-based leaders, international chapters of B’nai B’rith International, and the Foreign Ministry of Israel—to combat and reverse decades-long discrimination against Israel at the UN.

We hold events with the U.S. Congress, the UN, the State Department, think tanks, and other venues and produce and disseminate educational materials to raise awareness of anti-Israel bias at the UN—particularly regarding the work of the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People (CEIRPP), the Division for Palestinian Rights (DPR), and the Special Committee to Investigate Israeli Practices Affecting the Human Rights of the Palestinian People and Other Arabs of the Occupied Territories (SCIIHRP). Our education and advocacy strategy helps to positively influence UN voting outcomes and will one day end the work of the UN’s anti-Israel propaganda apparatus.

Our Impact

Our work has helped change votes at the UN, with fewer countries supporting the annual UN resolutions renewing the mandates and funding for the UN’s anti-Israel propaganda apparatus.

For instance, 114 countries voted in favor of funding the Division for Palestinian Rights (DPR) in 2011, while only 82 did so in 2020 – the lowest vote total ever and considerably less than half of the UN General Assembly membership.

Support for the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People (CEIRPP) and the Special Committee to Investigate Israeli Practices Affecting the Human Rights of the Palestinian People and Other Arabs of the Occupied Territories (SCIIHRP) also continues to decline.

Your support will enable AJIRI to expand its research capacity, deliver the message and engage our growing network of contacts and supporters. It will also enable us to be prepared to counter the expanded anti-Israel efforts as well.
