The Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People (CEIRPP) was created by UN General Assembly Resolution 3376 on November 10, 1975. The Committee currently has 25 members: Afghanistan, Belarus, Bolivia, Cuba, Cyprus, Ecuador, Guinea, Guyana, India, Indonesia, Laos, Madagascar, Malaysia, Mali, Malta, Namibia, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Pakistan, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tunisia, Turkey, and Venezuela. Ukraine, which had been a member, resigned from the Committee in January 2020. The Committee organizes the annual “International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People”, disseminates promotional materials, and organizes conferences around the world every year to “enable the Palestinian People to exercise its rights”. The Committee has an eight person bureau that maintains and directs its activities. The Chairman is the Ambassador of Senegal. The Ambassadors of Afghanistan, Cuba, Indonesia, Namibia, and Nicaragua are the Vice Chairs. The Committee’s mandate has been renewed every year since it was established.
